KCTCS | SYSTEM OFFICE AND HEADQUARTERS
PROJECT FACTS
This $5.2 M project involved the renovation / conversion of the existing Texas Instruments Manufacturing Facility into a System Office/Headquarters for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. Prior to its conversion, the facility had been vacant for several years. In addition to the interior fit-up, the project also focused on increasing the amount of ambient light within the facility through the addition of skylights and numerous glass walls.
Structurally the project included the reconstruction of a second floor mezzanine for use as the President’s Suite, the addition and upgrade of the lateral force resisting system, the addition of architectural entrance canopies and sun louvers, reconstruction of exterior wall systems, the addition of skylights and monumental staircase, and the construction of raised towers to support the new mechanical units.
